Spring LO for Shadow Frame

For the a club project, I created this single page to go in the Shadow Box Frame.  It's a version based on Lalia Harris' page.

I think it turned out super cute!   I added clear sparkles to different areas, used more of the compliments and not all of my cuts are just like Lalia's.  I also used Liquid Glass for some fun accents!

Snowhaven Cards - 3

The Snowhaven Workshop on the Go (WOTG) card kit was such an easy and cute kit to use!

I highly recommend it if you like non-traditional holiday cards.  You can even change them up and make them wintery-birthday cards! I may have to take my own advise and try it! LOL

You get all the supplies to make 15 cards - 5 of 3 designs.  Here is the third design from this WOTG kit. I altered some of them (cuz I can't help it) and plus it will give you some inspiration on how to change it up!

For this card, I mostly kept it the same.  To get the LOVE in Ruby, I stamped it on a scratch piece of paper, cut it out and then adhered it to White Daisy piece after stamping the entire image.

Adding in the Red Shimmer Trim, changing up the papers, and stamping in Black vs. Glacier can really make a difference!  I'd say the card below was my favorite altered design.

Snowhaven Cards - 2

LThe Snowhaven paper pack is one of my favorites from the new Idea Book.  I love the color combination of the Cranberry, Glacier, Slate & Black.  The Workshop on the Go (WOTG) card kit for this paper pack is super cute!

You get all the supplies to make 15 cards - 5 of 3 designs.  I am going to share with you the cards, of the second design, I made from this WOTG kit and how I altered them to give you some inspiration.

The card on the far left is the one the kit says to make.  I really liked using the tree stamp and the sentiment stamp (Be Merry, Be Warm..) at the top!  I changed the stamp I used on the dove tails, swapped the silver shimmer trim for washi tape or red shimmer trim.  For the most part, I didn't alter these cards much.  I was very content with the design as it was.

The card by itself on the left is the kit card.  I altered the other 4 cards by distressing or embossing the Glacier cardstock, swapping out the Silver Shimmer Trim with Red Shimmer Trim or the Ruby Washi Tape.  I also stamped the sentiment in Ruby vs. Slate for a pop.

Art With an Attitude Blog Hop - Autumn is in the Air

The Stampers with an Attitude team is doing a blog hop, themed {Art with an Attitude}!!  "Who are we?" you might ask?  We are Close to My Heart (CTMH) consultants, who are passionate and talented crafters!

This month, we are focusing on Autumn!!  With Thanksgiving at the end of this month, I created this to go on display in my house.  The frame is one of CTMH's new Design Decor Shadow Boxes.  You can lift up the frame and it stays secured by magnets.  I used the Pathfinding papers to create this autumn inspired decor.

All of the Cricut cuts came from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  The leaves, from the tree overlay, are flipped over (as the pattern seen is the back side of the overlay) and popped some up with 3D foam tape for added dimension.  Gold Shimmer Trim gives it just a bit of sparkle!  For further dimension, I distressed all the pieces with Chocolate ink & a quarter of a sponge.  I found distressing the pieces BEFORE I removed them from the Cricut mat was WAY easier than after I removed them.

More Terrific Tools - Quiling Tool

Learn about the awesome tools that Close to My Heart offers in this series of posts and short videos.

This week, I'm sharing a video about the Quilling Tool.  It's great for rolling flowers.  I was a little leery on getting it at first (thinking my reverse tweezers were just dandy), but then I tried it.  Needless to say, I don't use those tweezers anymore for flowers.

Love Is In the Air

One of my dearest friends got married last weekend and I wanted to make them something special.  Thanks to her sister, I snagged their engagement photos.

Here is what I cam up with! 

It's a LOT of Cricut cuts from the Artbooking cartridge (the Pacifica cardstock overlay, the Ruby cardstock hearts, Black cardstock photo mat & the sentiment YOU+ME and the frame it's on).  

I cut up the Hearts so I could use part of it (that was going to be blocked anyway) on the right side to tie it all together & pull the Ruby to the other side.

I distressed the Pacifica overlay, the For Always {retired} papers, and the Ruby photo mat, using stamp pads, for dimension.  I popped the YOU+ME sentiment with 3D foam Tape & adhered the two of them (for a shadow affect) using Liquid Glass (a MUST have if you don't have it already!).

Using the zip strip from the For Always paper pack, I backed it with the Silver Glitter Paper to make it pop.  I thought the saying was super sweet & fitting for this couple! The Silver Glitter Paper is also what I cut the YOU+ME frame from and what I used to back the hearts in the Black photo mat.

I placed my overall creation on a 9x9 canvas using Liquid Glass.  As you can see in the second picture, I spray painted the edges with a silver shimmer paint.

It's been a long time coming & I'm so truly happy for them and hope that they enjoy having this unique item in their home.

Wanderful Cards

These three cards were super quick & easy!! I used the Wanderful paper pack and the Wanderful Picture My Life (PML) cards as the sentiment.

I left the zip strip on the polka dot B&T paper to give it a fun look!  The PML cards are raised with 3D foam tape & added in some arrows & silver sequins for accents.

A Wanderful Layout..hehe

Here is a layout I created using the new Wanderful paper pack... I actually used the Workshop on the Go (WOTG) kit to create this because I love the stamp set that comes with it (exclusive..can only get it with the WOTG!).

I loved the cluster from the WOTG instructions, so I incorporated it into the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1 - Pattern 1 design.  I definitely used the WOTG instructions as my accent/cluster inspiration on both pages.

The new Black Arrow Washi Tape is super awesome!! It's clear, so gives a cool textured look when it goes over darker paper or the tape fades away on lighter shades and only shows the black arrows.  The arrows on the top of the cluster (see pic above) is the washi tape!!

After I cut the arrows out on the Cricut using the Artbooking Cartrdige, I went ahead and stamped them BEFORE removing them from my mat.  It was way easier!!  I incorporated the inside of the arrows into other projects (coming soon).
