More Terrific Tools - Piercing & Embossing Tool Kit

I loved the previous vision of the piercing tool - and now it's revamped to also be an embossing tool!  Wooohoooo!!!  It includes a 1/2" tip for piercing and a 1/2" tip for embossing.  There is a small pad that it comes with to help protect your table surface or your project.  

This tool is a MUST have if you use flip flaps!! Then you can adhere the flip flaps to the page & pierce the page protector (then cut it) to pull the flip flap through.

ShinHan Touch Twin Markers - NEW to Close to My Heart

With 24 amazing colors, plus a blending pen, these markers will truly light up your life.  They are ergonomic, have a broad tip and a fine tip, are alcohol-based, and are $5.95 each.  

I FELL IN LOVE with them as soon as I used them at Convention this year.  WOW!!  Here is a box card I created using the new paper pack, Brushed, the new Happy Birds stamp set, the Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape, Slate Ribbon, and some other products (ask me for the rest!).

The flowers & birds are stamped in Archival Black Ink (so the markers wouldn't bleed the outline).  Next I just started coloring!  I layered the same color on top of itself to provide depth (pink flowers) or layered a darker shade over the top and then smoothed it out by layering the lighter shade over the top (yellow & blue flowers).

These markers are a bit forgiving with the blending pen, blend really really well, provide great coverage, minimal streaks/bleeding through the cardstock, and are a MUST HAVE!  Reference the chart below on how to match the markers with the CTMH colors.

Art With Attitude Blog Hop - Chalk It Up

This month, we are focusing on one of the new paper...Chalk It Up.  It's a fun, hip paper pack geared towards school.  But this hop is going show you that it can be used for MORE than just school-related projects!  Here is what I came up with:

Black glitter paper adds some pop to this.  I trimmed one of the Chalk It Up Project My Life cards and raised it with 3D foam tape.  The Sorbet border is one of the zip strips. To finish this card off, I added some clear sparkles.  Quick, fun & totally non-school card! :)
